World Cup 2019: Our Destiny Is In Our Hands, Not India, Says Pakistan Coach Mickey Authur

London: Pakistan head coach Mickey Authur says that he was very disappointed after India’s defeat to England on June 30 in a must-win match for England.

After losses to Sri-Lanka and Australia, it was a must-win game for the hosts to stay alive in the tournament. A loss would have boosted Pakistan’s hopes to qualify for the semis.

“How India Played in that game is the issue that we can’t control,” Mickey said to reporters.

“I was watching the match very keenly and was disappointed that India didn’t come out at its best because it would have opened doors for Pakistan,” Mickey told.

“Now all we want is to get to Friday with a real opportunity and our destiny in our own hands,” he added.
