According to former Australian captiain, Michael Clarke India will go through to the semi-finals without much trouble even though they have to deal with New Zealand in the semi-finals in Manchester on Tuesday.
Former Australia captain Michael Clarke while interviewing to India Today said India will storm into the final of the World Cup 2019 without much trouble even though they have to deal with New Zealand in the semi-finals in Manchester on Tuesday. India has been the best team of the tournament so far with 7 wins out of 8 matches while one match was washed out without a ball being bowled.
India topped the points table after a win against Srilanka in the last match of the league phase helped by the loss to Australia against South Africa.
“No-brainer for me, India will make it into semi-finals. In cricket, you can’t predict the match’s result”
“What makes me say that is India has been on fire since the World Cup started. They have played unbelievable cricket in league games and for me, India already has one foot in the final.”
“But they cannot take anything for granted and play good, hard cricket they have been the whole tournament,” Michael Clarke told India Today.
