India To Launch Its First Solar Mission In 2020 Named Aditya-L1

India is going to launch its first mission in order to study the sun, in 2020, Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman K. Sivan said on Thursday. the mission is named Aditya-L1.

“The purpose of the mission is to keep a perminent eye on the Sun without any disturbance,” Sivan told media in a press briefing.

He said there are still a lot of things that are to be learned about the sun.
