Chris Gayle Becomes Highest Six-hitter In World Cups

West Indian opening batsman Chris Gayle has become the highest six-hitter in World Cups history. He has 39 sixes in the history of World Cups.

Before the start of the 2019 World Cup, the top position for the highest sixes hit in world cups was held by AB de Villiers with 37 sixes.

The South African Mr. 360 was replaced by West Indian giant Chris Gayle when he hit two consecutive sixes of Hasan Ali’s bowling in the 2nd game of the World Cup 2019.

Former Australian Skipper Rickey Pointing is third in the list with 31 sixes to his name.

Recently in IPL Chris Gayle become the only batsman to smash 300 sixes in the tournament history. He also surpassed Shahid Afridi in the field of most sixes hit in all formats of international cricket.
